Daris East is situated less than an hour’s drive west of Muscat and is easily accessible via the Muscat–Sohar Highway, continuing to Mulladda, followed by a 25 km drive south along the paved Rustaq Road to the village of Al Hazm. From Al Hazm, a gravel fair-weather road extends approximately 8 km to the Daris East Prospect.
Alara Resources conducted an extensive exploration program between 2010 and 2012, resulting in the definition of copper-gold resources at Daris East. A Mining License application, submitted in 2012, remains under review.
