At Alara Resources, Corporate Social Responsibility is more than a commitment — it is an integral part of how we operate. We believe that responsible mining goes hand in hand with contributing positively to the communities in which we work. Through our joint venture company in Oman, Al Hadeetha Resources LLC (AHRL), we actively support local development initiatives in and around the Al Wash-hi Majaza Copper-Gold Project.
Since the inception of the Al Wash-hi Majaza Project, Alara has remained focused on creating long-term value for local communities. Our participation in the Investment Seminar in the Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Ali bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah, reflects our commitment to sustainable and inclusive development. The seminar emphasized the importance of community well-being in the context of major investment projects—an ethos that Alara strongly upholds.
In collaboration with the Oman Water & Wastewater Services Company (a Government of Oman undertaking), AHRL has invested in the upgradation of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) located near the project site. This initiative addresses a critical community need while also supporting sustainable operations at the mine.
Key outcomes of the STP project include:
This project exemplifies our integrated approach to community development and environmental responsibility—creating solutions that serve both our operational needs and the broader social good.
